Women Podcasters in Solidarity

In 2017, the day after the Charlottesville Rally, I launched the Women Podcasters in Solidarity Initiative to encourage fellow women podcasters, especially those who are white, to use our voices and platform to raise awareness and funds for social justice issues. Over three seasons, the initiative focused first on anti-racism and police accountability, then gun safety and the intersectional impact of gun violence, and finally on immigration.

I recorded episodes alongside others who joined the effort and led fundraising campaigns. As the years progressed, I saw more podcasters integrating social justice into their work, and I realized that true solidarity required centering and partnering with women of color rather than leading the charge myself.

Today, I remain committed to amplifying social justice issues through my podcast and broader work, embedding it as a core value rather than a standalone initiative.
